    IMA Endorsement

    The Department of Accounting and Information Systems at the College of Business and Economics received the quality endorsement by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) in the USA.

    The Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting (BBA) and Master in Accounting (MIMA aims at supporting accounting professionals to expand their professional skills, better manage their organizations, and enhance their career. IMA’s Higher Education Endorsement Program recognizes and endorses business curricula that meet the quality educational standards required to enable students to prepare for the Certified Management Accountant (CMA). By that recognition, the College of Business & Economics at Qatar University is among 43 higher education institutes worldwide to receive this prestigious endorsement and the 4th in the Middle-East.AC) Programs offered through the Department of Accounting & Information Systems, College of Business & Economics at Qatar University, have earned endorsement by the IMA (Institute of Management Accountants), one of the most respected professional associations focused exclusively on advancing the accounting profession.

    To earn the IMA’s endorsement, a program must submit an extensive application documenting that a minimum of 75% of the tested topics of the CMA exam are covered in the curriculum. In addition, the application requires the submission of syllabi, sample tests and different assessment tools as evidence to demonstrate that students are taught to synthesize, analyze and evaluate each tested topic. Finally, the campus is required to designate a campus advocate, who will serve as a liaison between the school and the IMA.
