Management Information Systems (MIS) Major
The Management Information Systems major aims to prepare students for positions of leadership and responsibility in contemporary organizations. More specifically, the major focuses on the following objectives:
- Provide students with high quality academic, technical and professional knowledge to pursue a career in information systems.
- Prepare students with technical and analytical skills and competencies in information systems.
- Incorporate ethical issues in business decision making.
- Conduct research that contributes to profession of information systems.
- Promote effective interaction with the business community.
MIS majors earn the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems. They may select minors in any business discipline offered by the College of Business and Economics or no minor requirement. The requirements for the MIS major include 24 credit hours of specific MIS courses.
