    The Little Scientist-Tiny is Beautiful

    Course Overview

The "Tiny is Beautiful: Nano-Architecture and Nano-Structures" course is designed to introduce primary school students to the fascinating world of nanomaterials. Over the course of five days, students will delve into the fundamentals of atoms, nanoscales, and the unique behaviors exhibited by nanomaterials. Through a combination of interactive activities, group work, home-based activities, and a creative design project, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of nanomaterials and their applications.

    Course content

Day 1: The fundamentals of atoms and nanoscales were explained to the students, and activities were provided to compute them. Nanomaterials' fundamental behaviors are introduced. Worksheets are provided to identify the nanomaterials around us.

Day 2: Activities between groups are done as well as the introduction of two nanomaterial behaviors. According to how they performed, scores were recorded.

Day 3: Home-based exercises were offered and additional 2 properties were elaborated. The submission of the students' activity videos was asked.

Day 4: A group assignment for designing was given and all the qualities and new applications of nanomaterials were discussed.

Day 5: Design project: Students created a novel application utilizing nanomaterials, and award winners were announced.
