Video Competition

Introduction

Qatar Transportation and Traffic Safety Center ( QTTSC) is announcing a video competition to increase road safety awareness in Qatar .As youth is the base of the Qatari society; the competition will target the youth of Qatar to engage in road safety awareness and its importance. The QTTSC is encouraging all university students in Qatar to participate.

Rules and Procedure

• The contest is open to all university students in Qatar and requires students to research current status of road safety awareness in Qatar and design a relevant and informative video. Some examples of issues that the participants may choose are: raising awareness about the danger of speeding on the road, importance of wearing safety belt etc.
• Participants in the contest may choose any related topic for their intended video, as long as it is relevant and useful to Qatar.
• Participants can work individually or in groups of 2-3.
• Participants can be from same or different universities.
• Participants are required to submit their competition video, starting from 19th Nov 2017; and before the submission deadline on 19th April 2018.
• Video duration up to 35 seconds.
• Prizes for the winning finalists include

• Prizes are for the winning individual or team as a whole (not for each team member)
• All videos created using our copyright should NOT be uploaded to any video/media sharing website. Your submitted video will belong to Qatar Transportation and Traffic Safety Center
• Each entrant/group can submit one video only
• Language used if any : Arabic
• Submission should not contain offensive, libelous, disparaging or other inappropriate content and may not defame or otherwise violate the rights, copyrights, trademarks, or rights of publicity, privacy, or reputation of any third party. A Submission should not contain any advertising material (e.g., to promote a product or service).
• By entering this competition, entrants agree that QTTSC may use (or allow to be used by others) the Submitted video for advertising, publicity, and promotional purposes without compensation.
• QTTSC shall not be liable for any claims, costs, liabilities, damages, expenses, and losses arising out of (i) QTTSC’s use of the video; (ii) the entrant's participation in the competition; (iii) technical failures of any kind including but not limited to problems or delays arising from software or equipment malfunctions or computer viruses; (iv) any events outside QTTSC's reasonable control.
• By entering this competition, entrants are granting permission to QTTSC to link to or to embed Submissions, or portions thereof, on the websites or other media in connection with QTTSC . QTTSC reserves its right to select all or part of any Submission to link to, or embed on, QTTSC website or other media .

Judging Criteria

Members of the judging panel will consider the following criteria:

• The video message is accurate, focusing on the designated topic of road safety.
• The video message is clear and understandable .
• The video follow the previous rules.
