    About

Studies have shown that around 50% of graduate students do not complete their graduate study. Many of these students cite anxieties around thesis research as a primary cause. tadTalks (thesis and dissertation) at Qatar University was established to help address this shared global concern and to support the invaluable contribution of graduate researchers to the knowledge-based economy. tadTalks, inspired by the well-known TED Talks, follows a similar format in which speakers provide a 10 min talk sharing their perspective on the graduate research experience in order to encourage current and prospective graduate students to take on the challenge of conducting research that has a lasting impact on the local, regional, and international community. tadTalks provides a unique platform to showcase impactful graduate research that addresses global challenges and brings graduate researchers together from around the world to coalesce in a spirit of inquiry.
