Graduate Assistants (GA) are important contributors to teaching and research in the department. There is a limited number of GA positions offered by Qatar University. These positions are highly competitive and are centrally selected across all postgraduate programs.
Applicants interested in GA positions should apply online during the time of their application for the MSc program in Nutrition. Applications that are not through the online system will not be considered. GA positions are offered to outstanding applicants selected for the MSc program in Nutrition. Selection is based on a number of criteria including university transcripts and GPAs, research experience and publications, participation in conferences and workshops, relevant experience in specialization and admission interview performance. Graduate assistantships provide opportunities to learn new skills valuable to career scientists.
Strong commitment to learning and taking full responsibilities as assistants is thus expected. GAs are closely monitored by their advisors through the submission of regular task reports for approval by the MSc program in Nutrition coordinator. Renewals of positions are subjected to the GA performance.
