    Application Required Documents


    Required Documents for Admission Application

    All applicants who have never attended a university or who have not earned at least 24 credit hours at a university and who are applying to Qatar University as either Foundation Program or Undergraduate applicants are classified as First Year applicants and are required to submit the following:

    1. Complete Online Admissions Application with an e-payment of QR 200 (non-refundable)
    2. Students have to upload a passport-size photograph and Photocopy of the applicant's valid Qatar ID card (Non-Qatari applicants must also upload a copy of their passport) through the online admission application by the admission deadline.
    3. High school transcript:
      • For students from Qatari Government and independent schools graduated starting from 2016 onwards, they do not have to submit their high school transcript; QU will receive their results from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
      • Students from Private and International high schools, also students from Qatari Government and independent schools graduated in 2015 and earlier, have to submit original, final, official, and certified high school transcript along with copies to check if it matches the original documents, and attend in person to Qatar University before the deadline by the following timing and locations:
        • Male: Student Affairs Building (I11) - First Floor, hall number C204, from Sunday to Thursday, 9 am to 12 pm.
        • Female: Student Affairs Building (I11) - First Floor, hall number C250, from Sunday to Thursday, 9 am to 12 pm.
    4. Applicants with a Qatari parent must upload a copy of their parent’s Qatar ID card and a copy of their Birth certificate. Non-Qatari female students married to Qatari Nationals must also upload a copy of the marriage contract and a copy of the ID card of the husband. (An electronic link will be sent to applicants with Qatari parents and to those married to Qatari nationals for uploading the required documents)
    5. For Qatari male students who have achieved a percentage less than 75%, it is mandatory to upload a certificate proving completion of national service or a letter of exemption from national service. (A link will be sent to applicants to upload the required documents)
      Note: The document verifying completion of national service or the letter of exemption from national service is mandatory for Qatari male students with a percentage less than 75%. Applications will not be considered if these required documents are not submitted, and admission to Qatar University will be denied.
    6. Students have to submit a Health Certificate issued inside Qatar (with a validity period that must not exceed six months from the date of examination)
      • Students who have undergone a medical examination in any of the health centers operated by the Primary Health Care Corporation or the Medical Commission are not required to submit their medical examination results. QU will receive these results from the Ministry of Public Health directly.
      • Students who have undergone a medical examination in any private health care center located in Qatar, kindly contact the Admission Section.  
      • For International students please refer to International Students Website.
    7. Official test score reports for applicants to Colleges that require Foundation Program ( if available) to be submitted to the Qatar University Testing Center in order to be exempted from the Foundation Program.
    8. An international student who is planning to join Qatar University and apply for a bachelor degree must follow the following steps:
      1. Send the original high school transcript and other requested documents to Qatar University during the application period for international students to the following address:

      2. If the international student (excluding GCC citizens) is applying to study at his/her own expense, he/she must apply online for a student visa under Qatar University sponsorship and upload the required documents during the same admission timeline for international students.
      3. If the international student is planning to study at Qatar University only when he/she obtains a scholarship provided by Qatar University, he/she does not need to fill out and complete the visa application; the Scholarships and International Admissions Section will take the necessary procedures to issue a student visa for international students who receive a scholarship from QU.

    Note: The admission application from an international student will not be considered if he/she does not submit the original high school transcript and visa application OR scholarship application.

    Applicants seeking readmission are required to apply to their intended college of study by filling out the QU online admission application and submitting the following admission requirements by admission deadlines.

    1. Submit an Online Admissions Application with an e-payment of QR 200 (non-refundable)
    2. Students have to upload a passport-size photograph and Photocopy of the applicant's valid Qatar ID card (Non-Qatari applicants must also upload a copy of their passport) through the online admission application by the admission deadline.
    3. high school or University transcript:
      • For students from Qatari Government and independent schools graduated starting from 2016 onwards, they do not have to submit their high school transcript; QU will receive their results from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
      • Students from Private and International high schools, also students from Qatari Government and independent schools graduated in 2015 and earlier, have to submit original, final, official, and certified high school transcript along with copies to check if it matches the original documents, and attend in person to Qatar University before the deadline
      • University Students have to submit original, final, official, and certified University transcript along with copies to check if it matches the original documents, and attend in person to Qatar University before the deadline. (Applicants who have been admitted to a university for a future semester and who wish to take classes at QU before enrolling at that university are required to provide a copy of their admission letter in lieu of an official university transcript).

      Students have to submit transcripts at the following times and locations:

      • Male: Student Affairs Building (I11) - First Floor, hall number C204, from Sunday to Thursday, 9 am to 12 pm.
      • Female: Student Affairs Building (I11) - First Floor, hall number C250, from Sunday to Thursday, 9 am to 12 pm.
    4. Non-Qatari applicants with Qatari parents must upload a copy of the applicant's parent Qatar ID card and a copy of the Birth certificate and Non-Qatari female students married to Qatari Nationals must also upload a copy of the marriage contract and a copy of the ID card of the husband (An electronic link will be sent to applicants to upload required documents for Qatari parents and Qatari Husband)

    Students who are already attending another university and who wish to take courses at Qatar University are welcome to do so as visiting students. Visiting applicants are required to submit the following:

    1. Submit an Online Admissions Application with an e-payment of QR 200 (non-refundable)
    2. Students have to upload a passport-size photograph and Photocopy of the applicant's valid Qatar ID card (Non-Qatari applicants must also upload a copy of their passport) through the online admission application by the admission deadline.
    3. Students have to submit original, final, official, and certified University transcript along with copies to check if it matches the original documents, and attend in person to Qatar University before the deadline by the following times and locations:
        • Male: Student Affairs Building (I11) - First Floor, hall number C204, from Sunday to Thursday, 9 am to 12 pm.
        • Female: Student Affairs Building (I11) - First Floor, hall number C250, from Sunday to Thursday, 9 am to 12 pm.
    1.     All applicants who are not considered pursuing an undergraduate degree may apply for Second Degree admission to Qatar University by submitting the following:

    1. Submit an Online Admissions Application with an e-payment of QR 200 (non-refundable)
    2. Students have to upload a passport-size photograph and Photocopy of the applicant's valid Qatar ID card (Non-Qatari applicants must also upload a copy of their passport) through the online admission application by the admission deadline.
    3. University transcript:
      • For Qatar University graduates, they do not have to submit their University transcript.
      • For Students from other universities: Students have to submit original, final, official, and certified University transcript along with copies to check if it matches the original documents, and attend in person to Qatar University before the deadline by the following timing and locations:
        • Male: Student Affairs Building (I11) - First Floor, hall number C204, from Sunday to Thursday, 9 am to 12 pm.
        • Female: Student Affairs Building (I11) - First Floor, hall number C250, from Sunday to Thursday, 9 am to 12 pm.
    4.     All transfer applicants from CCQ are required to submit the following documents to the QU Admissions Department:

    1. Submit an Online Admissions Application with an e-payment of QR 200 (non-refundable)
    2. Students have to upload a passport-size photograph and Photocopy of the applicant's valid Qatar ID card (Non-Qatari applicants must also upload a copy of their passport) through the online admission application by the admission deadline.
    3. Students have to submit original, final, official, and certified CCQ Transcript along with copies to check if it matches the original documents, and attend in person to Qatar University before the deadline by the following times and locations:
      • Male: Student Affairs Building (I11) - First Floor, hall number C204, from Sunday to Thursday, 9 am to 12 pm.
      • Female: Student Affairs Building (I11) - First Floor, hall number C250, from Sunday to Thursday, 9 am to 12 pm.
    4.     The Cross-Registration program provides you with the opportunity to enroll at both Qatar University and Community College of Qatar (CCQ) at once and take courses that are required to earn an AA, AS or Baccalaureate degree in CCQ. Applicants are required to submit the following:

    1. Submit an Online Admissions Application with an e-payment of QR 200 (non-refundable)
    2. Students have to upload a passport-size photograph and Photocopy of the applicant's valid Qatar ID card (Non-Qatari applicants must also upload a copy of their passport) through the online admission application by the admission deadline.
    3. Students have to submit original, final, official, and certified CCQ Transcript along with copies to check if it matches the original documents, and attend in person to Qatar University before the deadline (Applicants who have been admitted to a CCQ for a future semester and who wish to take classes at QU before enrolling at CCQ are required to provide a copy of their admission letter in lieu of an official university transcript).

      Students have to submit the required documents by the following times and locations:

      • Male: Student Affairs Building (I11) - First Floor, hall number C204, from Sunday to Thursday, 9 am to 12 pm
      • Female: Student Affairs Building (I11) - First Floor, hall number C250, from Sunday to Thursday, 9 am to 12 pm.
    4. Approval Form CCQ (please contact the community college to complete the approval process).
    5. Applicants with Qatari parents must upload a copy of the applicant's parent Qatar ID card and a copy of the Birth certificate and Non-Qatari female students married to Qatari Nationals must also upload a copy of the marriage contract and a copy of the ID card of the husband (An electronic link will be sent to applicants to upload required documents for Qatari parents and Qatari Husband)


    Required Documents for Scholarships and Talents Sponsorship Program

    The applicant is required to submit the following documents, in addition to the documents required for admission:

    1. A minimum of two letters of recommendation through the online admission application to support the application from prestigious entities relevant to the area of talent.
    2. A letter summarizing his/her talent, achievements, and awards received with a link to a video of a large-size file or any supporting files (e.g. on Dropbox or OneDrive) presenting his/her talent and proving the recent achievements in the field of talent; specifically in one of the following areas: scientific research (includes all art and scientific fields), technology and innovation, literature, art (includes painting, sculpture, calligraphy and similar arts), media, and athleticism.

    Applicants for this scholarship are not required to submit any documents except the documents required for admission.

    A letter from the embassy in Qatar addressed to Qatar University requesting consideration for this specific scholarship to the nominated student. In addition to the documents required for admission.

    The applicant is required to submit the following documents, in addition to the documents required for admission:

    1. A minimum of two letters of recommendation to support the application from prestigious entities relevant to the area of talent.

A portfolio letter with a link to a video of large-size file supporting files (e.g. on Dropbox or OneDrive) presenting his/her talent and proving the recent achievements in the field of talent, specifically in one of the following areas: scientific research (includes all literary and scientific fields), technology and innovation, literature, art (includes painting, sculpture, calligraphy and similar arts), media, and athleticism.

    Applicants for this scholarship are not required to submit any documents except the documents required for admission.

    The student is required to submit the following documents (PDF format), in addition to the documents required for admission:

    • Copy of the applicant’s birth certificate, if the mother is an employee of the university.
    • Copy of the parent’s Qatar ID card.
    • A recent letter from the Human Resources Department at Qatar University verifying the employment of the parent(s), mentioning the following points:​
      • The employment number.
      • The employment type is a full-time job and the starting date.
      • The employment category (academic or non-academic)

    A letter from embassies, entities, or universities that have agreements with Qatar University addressed to Qatar University requesting consideration for this specific scholarship to the nominated student. In addition to the documents required for admission.

    1. Upload the following documents through the online application:

      1. Attested copy of the highest attained academic credentials, (Final transcript or course completion certificate with the following criteria):
        • The academic credentials must be for the highest attained academic degree, transcript or certificate that you already graduated.
        • Transcript of current ongoing degree is not acceptable
        • The certificate or transcript must be accompanied by an Arabic or English translation if it is not in one of the two languages.

        Transcript or certificate attestation requirements:

        • No further attestations are required if the transcripts or certificates are issued from USA and UK universities as it should be final, official and enclosed in a sealed envelope by the registrar's office. Meanwhile, the high school certificates or transcripts should meet the attestation requirements mentioned below.

        Transcripts or certificates issued from High schools from around the world  OR Universities from out of the USA and UK should meet the attestation requirements mentioned below:

        • Must be certified by either the Ministry of Education and Higher Education or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Qatar Embassy (or any GCC Embassy if Qatar Embassy is not available) for the country in which the certificate is issued.
        • If attestation from Qatar or GCC Embassies are not available, the same can be from any Arab country's Embassy for the country in which the certificate is issued.
        • Residents / Expatriates in Qatar can certify their transcripts through their countries’ embassy available in Qatar.  
        • An Arabic or English translation must accompany the transcript if it is issued in a language other than Arabic or English.

        Note: Qatar University has the right to ask for extra attestations if needed. 

      2. Resume / C.V. (Curriculum Vitae) should include the applicant's personal and academic details with contact details, mobile number with country code and email address.
      3. A passport copy, valid for 1 year, need a copy of the page/s that holds the following information: your photo and information, and the passport expiry date.
      4. Recommendation Letter from a well-known person or organization, (such as your professor, religious or educational institution) describing the reason for nominating you to study in Arabic for Non-Native Speakers Center. It should be issued recently within one month prior to applying to this program. Self-nomination letters are not acceptable.
      5. Personal Photo (1 copy), passport size.

      NOTES:

      • Upload the scanned clear copies of the aforementioned documents in PDF format. Picture of the documents taken by a mobile phone is not accepted.
      • Any application or documents will NOT be considered after the given deadline.
      • Uploading the required documents AND paying the application fees doesn't secure your acceptance in the center; applying to the ANNS Center is highly competitive and the admission subjects to the number of applicants and available scholarships.
      • In case that one or more of the required official documents are missing, the student's application will be rejected.
    "To whom it may concern" letter for the new academic year proofing that the applicant is working under the Ministry of Education and Higher Education or any governmental educational organization. In addition to the documents required for admission.
