Research Poster Awards

As part of the Annual Research Forum and Exhibition 2026 activities, Qatar University will host a poster session for research groups and graduate students. The top posters, selected by a designated judging committee according to the criteria outlined below, will be awarded the best poster awards in each of the following categories and disciplines:​

You can use your preferred software to design your poster. Make sure to adhere to the poster guidelines and templates:

Important notes

• The poster layout should be in portrait orientation only.
• At least one of the primary authors of the poster must be present during the judging day (date and time will be announced later), to give a 3-5 minute 'elevator talk' regarding the poster, and to answer any questions.​
• The poster has not been submitted during any previous research forum.
• The abstracts must fulfill the guidelines indicated on the QU Annual Research Forum and Exhibition 2026 website.
• Awards will be given only to posters that meet the outlined criteria

Awards

The top posters, selected by a designated committee based on the criteria listed below, will be awarded the best poster awards in each of the following categories:

1. The Best Poster Award for Research Groups
2. The Best Poster Award for Graduate Students

The award will be given based on a combination of factors including:

• The quality of research presented in the poster
• Impact of the presented work on the scholarly community and/or society
• Visual impact of the poster and overall contribution

Each award will include:

1. Certificate recognizing the effort
2. A medal

Posters Publishing and Reviewing

After poster acceptance by the reviewing committee, participants have the option to agree to publish their posters in QSpace.
