The Portal Application Section plays a vital role in delivering and maintaining several key digital platforms that support the daily operations and communication needs of Qatar University. The team is responsible for managing the QU public website, ensuring it remains accessible, up-to-date, and aligned with the university’s image. We also oversee and support SharePoint services for internal collaboration, the myQU campus portal for centralized access to academic and administrative services, and the Appointment Manager system used for scheduling academic advising and student support sessions. In addition, we provide technical support for faculty websites and the QU Blogs platform, empowering the community to share academic and professional content. The section also handles application support for HPSM (HP Service Manager), which is used by ITS for managing service requests and IT operations. Through these services, we aim to enhance user experience, drive digital engagement, and contribute to the university’s strategic digital transformation.
QU Public Website
We provide comprehensive support for the Qatar University public website by offering website design and development services tailored for colleges, departments, and university units to ensure consistency with the university’s branding. In addition, we assist with content editing and management to keep the website accurate and up-to-date. To empower each college and department to maintain their own sections, we conduct training sessions for content editors, enabling them to efficiently update and manage their web pages.
SharePoint Services
We help manage and support the SharePoint system used by Qatar University to make it easier for departments to share documents and work together. Our services include creating and setting up SharePoint sites for different teams, managing who can access what to keep information safe, and helping organize files and folders.
