Developing a mindset of critical inquiry lies at the core of CMED’s education system where faculty are active researchers who encourage students to become lifelong learners and researchers seeking continuous development and working to address the community’s needs.
Throughout the academic year, CMED students receive grants and awards from Qatar University to support their research projects, added to their active participation in international conferences presenting their research posters. Annual QU Health Research Symposium and QU Research Forum are held at Qatar University bringing together students, researchers and faculty and opening a great networking-channel with various professional and stakeholders in Qatar and beyond.
Furthermore, through “The Qatar University Student Medical Journal (QUSMJ)”, a journal operated and organized by students under supervision of faculty advisors and approval from QU Health, QU health students get to publish exemplary research papers related to medicine, pharmacy and health sciences; and therefore encouraged to become significant researchers with a realistic opportunity to have their work published.
