    Legal Committee

    Functions of legal  committee:

    The Legal Committee reports directly to the Senate Chair, and it comprises of three members, two of them are current Senate members, and the other from the College of Law. Committee Chair is from the Faculty Senate. The committee objectives and duties are as follows:

    1. Examine all letters, suggestions, and any other respective issues raised by Senate’s permanent or temporary committees to ensure their compliance with Senate, University, and Board of Regents Bylaws.
    2. Ensure that such written materials are drafted in an accurate legal manner and terminology.
    3. Provide Senate members with any legal advice or opinion 
    4. Fulfill any other task assigned to it by Senate Chair.
    5. Hold meetings whenever that turns to be necessary.
