Discover MAREN — an advanced internal pipeline reinforcement technology designed to restore structural integrity and extend the service life of aging metallic pipelines.
MAREN
From damaged pipelines to reinforced performance.
A composite reinforcement system that restores and strengthens aging metallic pipelines by installing a fiber-reinforced internal liner using an expandable elastic mandrel technology.
Introduction
MAREN is an innovative pipeline rehabilitation system that enables the internal reinforcement of metallic pipelines using fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composite liners installed with a reusable expandable elastic mandrel.
The technology introduces a controlled radial expansion mechanism that uniformly presses the composite liner against the inner wall of damaged pipelines during the curing process. Once curing is completed, the mandrel deflates and is removed, leaving behind a high-strength composite reinforcement layer that significantly improves structural performance and corrosion resistance.
By combining expandable mandrel technology with composite reinforcement, MAREN offers a cost-effective and sustainable solution for restoring aging pipeline infrastructure without full pipeline replacement.
The system has been prototyped and validated through burst, corrosion, and interfacial performance tests, demonstrating strong technical feasibility and industrial application potential (TRL 6).
