Doha, Qatar – [Date]: The International Society for Influenza and other Respiratory Viruses (ISIRV) is pleased to announce its sixth ISIRV School, organized in collaboration with Qatar University's Biomedical Research Center (BRC): a WHO Collaborating Center for Research and Capacity building on emerging and re-emerging zoonotic diseases. This prestigious event, aimed at early-career scientists, will take place over five days and focus on critical topics related to the epidemiology, molecular biology, immunology, and control strategies of respiratory viruses, including influenza and coronaviruses.
The ISIRV School has successfully educated nearly 300 students across previous sessions held in Italy, Lebanon, and India, bringing together renowned experts and young researchers in the field of respiratory virus research. This year's program will continue this tradition, offering a unique platform for networking, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
A select number of fellowships will be available to support students from low- and middle-income countries, covering travel and local expenses.
