Research Priorities
College of Law Qatar University seeks to produce high-quality research in Arabic, English and in French, it responds to the requirements needed to supporting the scientific standing of Qatar University and matches with the research priorities and strategic objectives of Qatar University and Qatar National Research Fund, which requires establishment of a research environment that supports all types of research activities for each of the faculty members and also the students.
It also requires both faculty members and students in the college to be in line with the most important domestic and international legal evolutions in order to develop a legal culture that supports the development and the innovation.
The main research topics include the following areas:
- Public law including administrative and constitutional criminal law
- Environmental Law, Energy Law and Sustainable Development
- Special law including civil and commercial law, corporate law and banking services
- International law including public and private international law and humanitarian law
